Founded in 2019, we’ve made it our life’s mission to help Delaware families. Delaware Family Restoration Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering families after they’ve experienced the trauma caused by incarceration.

Our vision is for families to become resilient with the hope and skills needed to cope with the realities of incarceration. We want to arm communities with greater awareness about family separation, its stigma, the factors that lead to it, and the effects it has on both families and communities.

Youth Engagement & Success
We’re committed to helping children succeed. That’s why we offer services such as free academic summer camps and after-school programs, providing a safe space to have fun and learn.
Reentry Programs
Restoring families is at the core of our work. We offer an innovative reentry program to help facilitate a healthy conversation and begin the healing process after incarceration.

One of the 8th grade students was so affected by the performance that her Mom had to come pick her up. I saw Mom in the office at pick up and she said how wonderful it was that the students were able to experience the performance and although her daughter was upset, she knew it had started a much needed and difficult conversation.
As a daughter of an incarcerated father for 10 years during my youth, I fully understood the father's and son's emotions and circumstances. It was heartfelt and emotional and moved the children to tears who fully related to incarcerated parents. I would recommend all schools to benefit from this presentation.
