Our Work with DSAMH
Innovative drama therapy interventions to address SUD and OUD
The Initiative
We trained three community-based organizations to implement drama therapy—an evidence-based approach that uses storytelling, role-play, and creative expression to help participants process trauma, build resilience, and develop coping strategies.
Why It Matters
Delaware continues to face a devastating opioid crisis. Data from DSAMH and the Delaware Substance Abuse Epidemiological Profile show clear disparities in access to prevention and treatment. This project equips local organizations with practical tools to engage high-risk adults and families more effectively.
What We Did
Core Techniques
Staff learned drama therapy interventions rooted in evidence-based practice.
Creative Development
Teams created scripts tailored to their unique client populations.
Resource Creation
Produced video and workbook materials for ongoing use.

Moving Forward
This partnership with DSAMH demonstrates how innovation and collaboration can reshape prevention and intervention efforts. By empowering frontline organizations, we are creating pathways to healing for individuals and families most affected by SUD and OUD.
